Dr Branko Kanjevac was born in 1990 in Prijepolje. After finishing primary school, he finished gymnasium (department of natural sciences and mathematics) in Arandjelovac in 2009. He completed his studies at the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Forestry in 2013. He defended his master’s thesis in 2015, and his doctoral dissertation in 2020 at the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Forestry.

Since 2014, he has been employed at the Faculty of Forestry, University of Belgrade, at the Chair of Silviculture as a teaching associate. He was elected to the title of teaching assistant in 2016, and to the title of Ph.D. teaching assistant in 2020. At the undergraduate and master’s academic studies, he performs practical exercises in several subjects from the scientific field of Silviculture.

In the previous period, he was on short study visits in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czech Republic and Latvia within the program Cost Action FP 1301 – EuroCoppice.

He has published over 30 scientific papers in the field of forestry and participated in many international scientific conferences and symposia in the country and abroad. He is the co-author of the practicum for practical exercises “Silviculture 2 – practicum” for students of the 4th year of undergraduate studies in the Study program Forestry.

As a member of research teams, he participated in the implementation of 5 scientific research projects. He is the Secretary of the Chair of Silviculture, and the Head of the Center for monitoring, data collection and processing of data in the field of silviculture.
