Nenad Maric received M.Sc. in Hydrogeological Engineering at the Faculty of Mining and Geology, University of Belgrade in 2010. He worked as a Research Assistant at the Department of Hydrogeology from 2011 to 2016, demonstrating in practical classes of the following courses:

  • Groundwater protection
  • Contamination and remediation of geologic media and groundwater
  • Groundwater hydraulics
  • Well hydraulics

In 2016, he became a Teaching Associate at the Faculty of Forestry, Department of Ecological Engineering for Soil and Water Resources Protection. The same year he earned a Ph.D. in Hydrogeologic Engineering from the Faculty of Mining and Geology. In 2018 Dr. Marić was elected to the position of Assistant Professor. In 2019, he participated in a four-week training in groundwater dye tracing at the Crawford Hydrology Laboratory, Western Kentucky University. Dr. Marić has been awarded a Fulbright Visiting Scholar post-doctoral award in groundwater bioremediation for the 2020-2021 academic year. He is a Coordinator of Project GRACE (2021-2022), funded by the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia (Diaspora Program). He is a certified Hydrogeologist by the Serbian Chamber of Engineers (392; 492) and licensed European Geologist by the European Federation of Geologists.
